A Chat with Briana-Marie Riley

Get Blogged: Briana-Marie, welcome! For those just discovering your work, can you tell us about Major League Mommy and what inspired you to start it?

Briana-Marie: Major League Mommy is a lifestyle and parenting blog created specifically with modern moms in mind, especially us moms who are juggling ALL the things. I focus on practical family life tips, entrepreneurship as a Mom, and personal growth.

I chose this niche because, honestly, it’s the world I live in. As a mom and a business owner, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to raise kids, chase goals, and still try to make space for yourself. Major League Mommy was born from my desire to share what I’ve learned, simplify the chaos, and create a space where moms feel supported, inspired, and seen.

Get Blogged: 2025 was a unique year for many creators. What did this past year look like for you?

Briana-Marie: 2025 was a bit of a different season for me. I didn’t take on as many brand collaborations this year because I was intentionally focused on strengthening other areas of Major League Mommy, including refreshing my content, expanding my resources for mom entrepreneurs, and building deeper connections with my community.

That said, I did partner with a few amazing brands throughout the year, and I always make sure every collaboration feels aligned, purposeful, and genuinely useful for my audience.

Get Blogged: What makes you feel most valued as a creator when working with brands?

Briana-Marie: One thing that always makes me feel genuinely valued is when a brand takes the time to personalize our communication. Even something as simple as acknowledging the unique angle I bring as a mom-focused creator, or referencing the details of a specific piece of content they enjoyed, goes a long way.

It shows me they’re not just sending out a generic outreach email, and they actually understand my audience and appreciate the work I put into serving moms. That small level of intentionality makes the entire collaboration feel like a true partnership rather than just a transaction. And honestly, those are the brands I’m super excited to work with again.

Get Blogged: How do you decide which collaborations are the right fit for you and your audience?

Briana-Marie: For me, it always starts with alignment. I ask myself: “Would this truly help the moms in my community?” If the product, service, or message doesn’t support a mom’s everyday life, her personal growth, her family, or her business goals, then it’s not a fit, no matter how great the offer is.

I also look at whether the brand’s values match my own. I’m big on authenticity, practicality, and empowering moms to simplify life and thrive, so I only collaborate with companies that reflect that energy.

And finally, I consider whether I would personally use it or recommend it in real life. If I can’t stand behind it wholeheartedly, I won’t promote it. My audience trusts me, and protecting that trust is always my top priority.

Get Blogged: What’s your top advice for bloggers who want to work with brands?

Briana-Marie: My biggest tip is to really OWN your lane. Brands love working with bloggers who know exactly who they serve and what they stand for. When your niche and messaging are clear, it becomes so much easier for brands to see where they fit into your world.

Another tip is to make your content and platforms “collab-ready.” That means keeping your blog updated, polishing your media kit, showcasing past partnerships (even the smaller ones), and creating consistent content that reflects the kind of campaigns you want to attract.

Also, don’t be afraid to pitch yourself. A lot of my opportunities over the years came from simply reaching out and introducing myself and sharing how I would like to serve the brand and/or their audience.

And finally, nurture your community first. When brands can see real engagement and genuine trust between you and your audience, they’re much more likely to want to collaborate. A strong, loyal audience will open doors that numbers alone can’t.

Get Blogged: Looking ahead, how do you see the world of blogging and brand partnerships changing in the next year?

Briana-Marie: With AI-generated content becoming more common across the internet, I think authenticity and real human connection are going to matter more than ever. Brands will be looking for creators who can bring that irreplaceable human touch, like genuine stories, lived experiences, and a real connection with their audience. That’s something AI can’t replicate.

I also think we’ll see more long-term partnerships instead of quick one-off posts. Brands will want to invest in creators who can weave their products naturally into their real lives over time.

And finally, creators who can blend authenticity with strategy, including strong storytelling, SEO, and smart content repurposing, will be the ones who thrive in the next era of partnerships.

Basically, the more the digital world automates, the more valuable real human voices will become.

“Protecting my audience’s trust is always my top priority."
