If you’re planning May/early-summer campaigns and want to get live quickly, it helps to start where demand already is.

Based on the past year of campaigns going live on Get Blogged, these are the top 5 blog niches brands are collaborating with right now:

Lifestyle & Everyday Living

Home & Interiors

Parenting & Family

Business

Fashion & Style

Want to get in on these niches? Below are easy angles you can brief in minutes (plus a copy/paste mini-template for each niche).

Table of Contents

1. Lifestyle & Everyday Living

1. Lifestyle & Everyday Living

Lifestyle content works because it’s relatable and naturally includes products and services without feeling overly salesy.

Quick campaign angles:

My 5 small upgrades that made life easier this month

Best under £X: everyday essentials I actually use

Sunday reset routine (realistic, not perfect)

A week of quick wins: habits that save time

Budget-friendly days out / micro-escapes near [city]

What I’d buy again: tried-and-tested favourites

Copy this brief template:

Post type: list-style blog post (7–12 items)

Audience: busy UK adults who want practical recommendations

Include: 1–2 mentions of [Brand/Product] with a natural reason why it helps

Link: [URL] with anchor text [anchor]

Tone: friendly, practical, UK-based

CTA: Find out more / shop here + link

2. Home & Interiors

Home content performs well because it’s visual, evergreen, and often searched (especially around seasonal resets).

Quick campaign angles:

Early-summer home reset checklist (room-by-room)

Small space upgrades that make a big difference

3. Parenting & Family

Parenting content converts because it’s problem/solution-led. Routines, time-saving, value, and real-life recommendations work really well because there is no manual for parenting after all!

Link: [URL] with anchor text [anchor]

Requirements: clear takeaways + realistic tone (no perfection)

CTA: If you’re in the same boat, this helped me… + link

4. Business

Business content is ideal for tools, services, and B2B brands because it’s naturally educational and shareable.

5. Fashion & Style

Fashion content works when it’s practical. Think outfit formulas, capsule wardrobes, and what’s actually wearable in the UK.

Quick campaign angles:

Influencer marketing (and blogger outreach) isn’t broken because brands are difficult or creators are unreliable. Most of the time, it’s broken because the cash flow bit is messy.

When money is handled through bank transfers, PayPal DMs, awkward invoices, or the classic “we’ll sort it after it goes live”… everything else gets harder:

Briefs get vague (because nobody wants to over-commit)

Timelines slip (because urgency disappears)

Trust gets wobbly (because nobody feels protected)

Disputes get personal (because there’s no neutral process)

This post is about the simple fix that takes the drama out of paid collaborations. Secure payment held until delivery (often called escrow). It’s not flashy. It’s just a grown-up way to work, where both sides know what’s happening, the money is real, and everyone can breathe.

What escrow actually means (in plain English)

When we mention Escrow on Get Blogged, it simply means the money is set aside before the work starts, and it’s only released when the agreed deliverable has been completed.

In UK-friendly terms, the brand’s funds are held in a secure holding account until delivery, then released once the agreed work is completed.

So instead of:

Brand pays upfront and hopes for the best, or

Creator delivers first and hopes they get paid

…both sides get a fair middle ground:

The brand knows the funds are protected until the work is delivered.

The creator knows the money is real and ready once they deliver.

And that one shift changes the whole tone of a collaboration.

If you’ve ever collaborated ‘manually’, you’ll recognise at least a few of these. (Possibly all of them. Possibly in the same week.)

1) The dreaded “Can you just send your bank details?” moment

For creators, it can feel risky to share personal details.
For brands, it can feel risky to send money to someone they’ve never worked with.

And for both? It’s a tiny admin task that somehow turns into a 22-email thread.

2) Payment terms that aren’t really agreed

“Payment on publication” sounds clear until you realise:

What counts as publication? A draft approval, live link, 24 hours live?

What happens if edits are requested?

What if the brand goes quiet?

Without a clear process, payment becomes a negotiation after the work is already emotionally loaded.

3) Scope creep disguised as “just one more thing”

When payment is informal, deliverables often are too.

That’s when you get:

“Can you also add a second link?”

“Can you share it on Instagram as well?”

“Can you tweak the angle to be more salesy?”

Sometimes those requests are reasonable. Sometimes they’re… not. The problem is, without a structured agreement and a secure payment flow, it’s hard to say yes or no without it feeling awkward.

4) Creators delivering first… and then the chasing starts

This is the big one.

Creators end up in the position of:

delivering the content

publishing the post

sending screenshots

sending reminders

sending more reminders

and then doing the “just circling back” email that nobody enjoys sending

Even when the brand intends to pay, life happens. Busy inboxes happen. Team handovers happen.

The result is the same. Creators feel undervalued, and brands feel nagged. And neither of those feelings helps anyone do great work.

I’ve done work up front and then not been paid for it, despite chasing numerous times. All you can really do is remove the post or remove the link. But it’s honestly soul destroying when a brand just ghosts you.

5) Brands paying upfront… and then feeling exposed

Brands have their own version of the same fear:

What if the creator disappears?

What if the content isn’t delivered on time?

What if the link is missing?

What if the post goes live but doesn’t follow the brief?

When there’s no neutral system in place, brands either avoid collaborations entirely or they over-control the process (which usually makes the content worse).

6) Refunds become personal (and messy)

If something goes wrong, manual payments create a weird dynamic:

The brand feels they have to ask for their money back.

The creator feels accused.

Even when both people are decent and professional, it becomes emotionally charged.

A platform-based secure-payment flow makes it procedural instead of personal.

7) The compliance and record-keeping headache

If you’re doing multiple collaborations, manual cash flow becomes a tracking nightmare:

What’s been paid?

What’s outstanding?

Which deliverables match which payments?

Who approved what, and when?

That’s before you even get into disclosure requirements, invoices, or internal approvals.

Why escrow makes collaborations feel easier (for both sides)

Escrow is a trust signal.

For brands, it reduces risk without killing creativity.

When funds are held securely until delivery:

You can brief more clearly

You can set deadlines confidently

You can approve deliverables with a calm head

For creators, it reduces chasing and protects your time.

When the money is already secured:

You can focus on making the content good

You can plan your workload

You’re not doing emotional labour chasing payments

You’re not hoping you’ll be paid. You’re completing a job with a clear finish line.

If you don’t use a platform, here’s a make-it-safer checklist for both parties

Sometimes you’ll still do a collaboration without a platform (maybe it’s a long-term relationship, or a one-off opportunity). If that’s you, here’s how to reduce risk and keep it professional.

For brands

Pay a small deposit upfront

A simple approach is 20 to 50% upfront, with the remainder paid on delivery/publishing (whatever you agree). This shows you’re serious and helps the creator prioritise your work.

Put the deliverables in writing (even if it’s just an email)

Include the following:

What content is being created (blog post, review, social posts)

Whether a backlink is required and where it should point

Disclosure wording (e.g., Ad/Advertisement or Gifted)

Draft and live dates

How many revisions are included

Agree on the release conditions

Be specific about what triggers the final payment. For example:

“Final payment is due once the post is live with the agreed link and disclosure.”

Use a clear approval window

Example: “I’ll review within 72 hours of receiving the draft.” Otherwise projects stall, and everyone gets frustrated.

Avoid asking for extras mid-way

If you need additional deliverables, treat them as a mini add-on with an agreed fee.

If you use a formal contract, remember it doesn’t remove all risk

Some brands ask creators to sign a contract to make things feel more official, and that can be a good thing. But it’s worth being realistic. A contract is only as helpful as your ability (and willingness) to enforce it.

If a creator doesn’t deliver, you still have the admin chasing, and legal action is rarely worth it for smaller fees.

If a brand doesn’t pay, a creator may technically have rights, but still has to chase and potentially escalate. This, we all know, is stressful and time-consuming.

Contracts don’t automatically prevent misunderstandings (they can still be vague, or interpreted differently).

Paperwork can clarify expectations, but it doesn’t create a neutral, day-to-day process for secure payment held until delivery.

For creators/bloggers

Ask for a deposit before you start

If you’ve been burned before, this is the simplest protection. You can position it as standard practice: “I book the slot with a deposit.”

Confirm the brief back to the brand in your own words

This prevents “That’s not what I meant” later. It also makes you look very professional.

Set boundaries on revisions

An example of this in action: “One round of reasonable edits included; additional edits billed at £X.”

Keep proof of delivery

Save the live URL, screenshots, and the date/time it went live. If a backlink is required, screenshot it too.

Agree on payment timing (and what happens if they go quiet)

Example of what to say: “Final invoice due within 7 days of going live.” You can add: “Late payments incur a £X admin fee.” (That works really well for freelancers!)

Even with an agreement in writing, you may still end up chasing

A contract or written agreement can help you point back to what was agreed, but it doesn’t guarantee the payment arrives on time. If the brand goes quiet, you’re still the one doing the follow-up, and escalation can feel awkward (especially when you’re trying to protect the relationship).

Be clear about link duration (yes, it matters)

If a brand is paying for a link placement, it’s completely reasonable to ask how long that link is expected to stay live.

I once added a brand link into a really popular post of mine for a few quid. Nothing huge. Then three years later I rewrote the post and removed some external links that no longer served a purpose, including the paid one. The brand got in touch asking for it to be reinstated.

I did reinstate it, but because we’d never agreed a timeframe, it became admin-heavy and awkward. In the end I said I’d keep it in for one year, and that because we hadn’t agreed a length of time originally, I’d have control over whether it stayed or not.

If we’d had a contract that stated the timeframe upfront, everyone would’ve known what the agreement was, and it wouldn’t have turned into a weird back-and-forth years later.

Tips for both parties

Keep everything in one thread (email is fine) so you can refer back.

Don’t rely on verbal agreements. Memory gets fuzzy fast.

If it feels awkward to clarify, that’s a sign it needs clarifying.

None of this is about mistrust. It’s about making collaborations repeatable.

Escrow professionalises the whole industry

The creator economy is growing up.

The next era isn’t about who can shout the loudest or who has the biggest following, it’s about systems that make collaborations…

Fair

Repeatable

Scalable

No-drama (and we like no drama.)

Escrow (secure payment held until delivery) is part of that maturity.

It creates a neutral, structured way to work together, which means both sides can bring their best:

Brands can invest with confidence.

Creators can deliver with confidence.

And when confidence goes up, repeat campaigns go up too.

A simple no-drama collab checklist (save this for next time)

Whether you’re a brand or a creator, these are the basics that make collaborations smoother:

Agree on deliverables upfront (what exactly is being delivered?)

Agree deadlines upfront (draft date, live date, revision window)

Keep comms in one place (so nothing gets lost)

Secure the funds before work starts (held securely until delivery)

Verify delivery against the brief (links, disclosures, requirements)

Do those five things, and you’ll avoid 90% of the drama people associate with influencer marketing.

Most collaboration problems aren’t people problems. They’re process problems.

When the cashflow side is handled properly – securely, fairly, and neutrally – everything else gets easier. The brief, the timeline, the relationship, and the results.

That’s why escrow isn’t just a feature we added because we could; it’s the trust layer influencer marketing has been missing.

If you’re a brand, you deserve a way to collaborate without feeling exposed.
If you’re a creator, you deserve a way to collaborate without chasing to be paid.

That’s exactly what we’re building at Get Blogged.

April always feels like a reset, does it not? Lighter mornings, fresh routines, and that little burst of motivation to try something new with your content.

But it is not just spring vibes. April is packed with awareness days and cultural moments that give you a ready-made reason to show up. That is handy whether you are a creator planning your next post, a brand building a launch calendar, or an agency pulling together ideas for clients.

So if you have been thinking, what on earth do we post in April, this is for you.

Below is a practical, campaign-first guide to April awareness days, plus content angles that work for blogs, social, email and PR.

How to use awareness days without it feeling forced

Awareness day content works best when it is relevant, useful, and easy to act on. If it feels like a stretch, it probably is.

Keep it relevant. Choose days that genuinely fit your niche, product, or audience.

Lead with action. Share tips, a resource, a donation, or a simple challenge.

Make it creator-friendly. Clear brief, creative freedom, realistic deliverables.

Do not force it. It is fine to skip a day if it does not fit.

If you are a brand or agency, the quickest win is to pick two to four moments in April and build mini campaigns around them. You do not need to post for everything. Honestly, nobody has time for that.

Creators, the same applies. You will get more traction from one strong series than ten random one-off posts.

Why creators are great partners for April campaigns

Creators make awareness day marketing feel human. That is the magic.

For brands and agencies, creator partnerships help you.

Move faster. Creators already know what formats perform.

Build trust. Audiences respond to lived experience and honest storytelling.

Get multi-format assets. Blog, short video, Stories, pins, email snippets.

Stretch a single day into a week. Same theme, different angles.

For creators, awareness hooks make it easier to pitch brands with a timely angle. They also help you create content that is useful and more likely to be shared. And let us be real, it is much easier to hit publish when you have a clear hook.

April awareness days and content ideas

Dates can vary slightly depending on the organiser and country. It is worth double-checking before you schedule anything. Have you ever planned a whole post and then realised the date is different in the UK? It happens!

Stress Awareness Month. April

If your audience is busy, overwhelmed, or juggling a million things, this one is a gift.

Creator angles

My stress reset routine. Realistic, not perfect.

Desk setup and productivity swaps that reduce overwhelm.

Budget-friendly self-care that is not just buy more stuff.

Brand and agency hooks

Wellness bundles, workplace wellbeing, subscription pause and reset campaigns.

Employee wellbeing content for B2B brands.

Best formats

Blog checklist, carousel, email mini series, one-minute reset video.

Question to ask yourself. What would genuinely help your audience feel calmer this month?

Move More Month. April

This does not have to be intense fitness content. It can be gentle, practical, and very normal.

Creator angles

A seven-day move more challenge. Walks, mobility, beginner-friendly.

Movement snacks for busy people.

Brand and agency hooks

Activewear, fitness apps, local gyms, wearable tech, workplace wellbeing.

As we approach the end of our 12 Bloggers of Christmas series, we’re excited to introduce Paul Alpant Reavey, also known as Mr Plane Guy. Paul’s blog is a trusted destination for aviation enthusiasts and smart travellers alike, offering practical, no-nonsense advice on flying better for less. What sets Paul apart is not just his passion for travel, but the wealth of hands-on airline experience he brings to every post.

With a career spanning long-haul cabin crew, airline dispatch, and performance management at Gatwick, Paul has seen the aviation industry from every angle. He’s combined that insider knowledge with a genuine love of flying to create a blog that’s as useful as it is honest, helping readers navigate everything from points and miles to airport lounges, all with a healthy dose of transparency.

A Conversation with Mr Plane Guy

Get Blogged: Paul, your blog is a goldmine for anyone looking to travel smarter. Can you tell us how your background shaped Mr Plane Guy and what makes your approach unique?

Paul: My blog niche is aviation, flight news, plane points and miles, airport lounges and smart travel perks – no hype, just Plane Honest advice on flying better for less.

Since leaving college, I’ve worked across multiple sides of the airline world, from long-haul cabin crew with Virgin Atlantic, to airline dispatching, and later as an airline performance and delay manager overseeing operations at Gatwick. Those roles gave me a rare, behind-the-scenes understanding of how airlines, airports, and loyalty schemes really work.

Over time, I realised that this experience gave me an edge that many travel and aviation blogs don’t have. Combining that industry knowledge with a genuine passion for flying, I created Mr Plane Guy to help travellers fly better for less.

Get Blogged: That depth of experience is invaluable, and it’s clear your audience trusts you for it. Are there any collaborations from this year that really stand out?

Paul: One of my standout brand collaborations of 2025 came directly from staying true to my “Plane Honest” approach to travel content.

After a genuinely awful FlixBus journey from Lille to Bruges, I filmed and posted my (let’s just say) unfiltered reaction on social media. The video resonated far beyond my usual audience, quickly reaching nearly 200,000 views. FlixBus took notice, identifying me as their BIGGEST critic!

What followed turned into a brilliant example of how honest content can lead to meaningful brand partnerships. FlixBus took me on a trip to Bilbao for the UEFA Champions League Final, where I created lots of content for them, including this video.

The collaboration worked because it was rooted in transparency: I was able to show the brand at its best, without losing the trust of my audience. It remains one of my favourite partnerships of 2025. Not just for the scale and experience, but because it proved that authenticity and honesty can open doors to high-value, creative brand collaborations.

Watch the FlixBus Collaboration

Get Blogged: That’s a fantastic example of how transparency can actually strengthen partnerships. Not every collaboration is smooth sailing, though. Have you ever faced challenges working with brands?

Paul: I worked with quite a big supermarket chain last Christmas, promoting a travel card. They were really challenging to deal with, with various people leaving and then joining the project, and the parameters and goals kept changing. Influencers and bloggers can have a bad reputation as being difficult and demanding, but it is also the same with some brands. For me, if I can see that a brand’s expectations are unrealistic or unfair, don’t be afraid to walk away. Be professional and stick to your goals, values and standards and communicate them with clear contracts.

It made me appreciate the importance of structure and clarity. That’s why Get Blogged stands out because the briefs are clear, expectations are set upfront, and both creators and brands understand what’s being delivered and why.

Get Blogged: Fantastic feedback, thank you! We’ve found that structure and clarity really do make all the difference. Was there a moment when you felt especially valued by a brand or agency?

Paul: A small but genuinely meaningful thing was when a brand’s PR agency recently invited me out for lunch in London.

It might sound simple, but it made me feel truly valued as a collaborator. I don’t have the biggest audience, but it was clear they recognised my authority, experience, and influence within my niche, not just my follower numbers.

They’ve continued to stay in touch, invite me to industry events, and treat the relationship as an ongoing conversation rather than a one-off campaign. That kind of personal connection goes a long way, and it reinforces that credibility and trust still matter in this industry.

Get Blogged: Personal connection and mutual respect are so important, especially in a world obsessed with numbers. How do you decide if a brand is the right fit for you and your audience?

Paul: I look at the brand’s product, reputation, and how it would realistically fit into my audience’s travel behaviour. I also pay close attention to how a brand approaches compliance and authenticity. I’ve recently turned down a very well-paid opportunity because the expectations didn’t align with transparent disclosure and honest content, and that’s not something I’m willing to compromise on.

For me, the basics matter: clear briefs, fair terms.

Get Blogged: That’s a brilliant standard to set. What advice would you share with other bloggers hoping to build lasting, meaningful partnerships?

Paul: Have a clear strategy and know exactly who your ideal reader is. If you consistently create content that serves that person, in your own voice, style, and niche, the right brands will naturally find you. Chasing every opportunity usually dilutes your message and makes partnerships feel forced.

It’s also important to stay aligned with your mission while keeping an eye on digital trends. You should also be willing to adapt and pivot as the landscape changes. Formats, platforms, and expectations will evolve, but never at the expense of your core values.

Get Blogged: We’re seeing a real shift in the industry towards expertise and trust. What do you think will matter most for creators and brands going forward?

Paul: Expertise and authentic authority will matter more than ever. Brands are already shifting away from influencer reach alone and towards creators who bring real expertise, niche insight, and genuine trust, particularly those with credible voices and engaged communities, not just large follower counts. Also, as AI-generated content becomes increasingly widespread, human-led storytelling, real experience, and subject-matter depth will become key differentiators.

Get Blogged: That’s spot on. Finally, what would you say to anyone feeling lost in the numbers game or chasing the next big trend?

Paul: Don’t get caught up in the numbers game or chasing algorithms. Trends come and go, but authenticity and passion are what last.

Consistency, credibility, and enjoying what you do matter far more than trying to game the system.

As we reach number ten in our 12 Bloggers of Christmas series, we’re thrilled to shine a special spotlight on Emily Henley, one of our longest-standing and most adaptable community members. Emily’s journey with Breaks & Bites is a brilliant example of how a blog, and its creator, can evolve, grow, and thrive through all of life’s changes.

Emily has been with Get Blogged almost from the start, and it’s been a joy to watch her content shift and expand as her own story has unfolded. What began as Bristol Bites, a love letter to the city’s food scene, has become Breaks & Bites: a vibrant celebration of UK food, drink, and travel, reflecting Emily’s move to Suffolk and her growing appetite for new adventures.

A Conversation with Emily Henley of Breaks & Bites

Get Blogged: Emily, you’re one of the longest-standing members of our community, and your blog is a fantastic example of growing with your audience. How did your blogging journey start, and how has it changed as your life has changed?

Emily: Originally, I was Bristol Bites – I moved to Bristol in 2009 and started the blog as a way to document the incredible food scene, mainly for myself, and it just grew! I moved to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, a couple of years ago and rebranded. I’m trying to increase my focus on UK travel and attractions instead of purely food and drink.

Get Blogged: It’s inspiring to see how you’ve allowed your blog to evolve alongside your own life. Are there any collaborations from the past year that really stand out for you?

Emily: I loved putting together a round-up of 2025 food and drink advent calendars. A post in conjunction with Guylian, who gifted an Advent calendar for me to give away on Instagram. Great Food and Drink Advent Calendars for 2025

The Very.co.uk Autumn campaign through Get Blogged was a lot of fun to work on, and it was good to get creative! Get Cosy at Home with Very.co.uk This Autumn

I had an incredible meal at Blue Fig in Bury St Edmunds, which was gifted (Why You Need to Eat at Blue Fig), and had fun working with Lindahls to create paid recipe content on Instagram (Lindahls Recipe Content), among others!

Get Blogged: You’ve always been willing to try new things and push yourself. Has there been a campaign that took you out of your comfort zone?

Emily: My paid collab on Instagram with Seriously Strong Original Cheddar Cheese Spread! As part of the brief, they asked me to show myself trying the product and talking about it, which I did NOT feel comfortable doing! However, I did it, and it’s encouraged me to try and appear on my blog/socials more frequently, to make it more personal! Seriously Strong Cheddar Cheese Spread

Get Blogged: That’s such a great example of personal growth. Sometimes, the best content comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. What makes you feel valued in your brand partnerships?

Emily: There’s one brand I’m currently working with that produces a range of flavours in its products. They’ve been fantastic at checking in with me to understand my personal preferences and to share my own creative ideas rather than having a super fixed brief. They’ve sent me my favourite flavours, and they seem keen to ensure that my experience with their brand is tailored to me. I’m not just a number!

Get Blogged: That kind of personal connection is so important. When you’re considering a new collaboration, what do you look for?

Emily: Firstly, it has to fit my niche of UK food, drink, travel or attractions/experiences. I’ll then have a good read of the brief and ask any questions, so I totally understand what the client’s expectations are around deliverables, content type, etc. If I feel the brand isn’t something I would genuinely enjoy or love, then it’s not a brand for me.

Get Blogged: Fantastic advice. For bloggers hoping to build lasting partnerships, what would you recommend?

Emily: Sell yourself! When you’re pitching, demonstrate exactly what value you can add to a brand: what makes you stand out from other bloggers, what pain points working with you will resolve, what you can bring to the table that other bloggers maybe can’t.

Get Blogged: We’ve watched the blogging landscape change a lot over the years, but authenticity always stands true. What do you think is most important for creators and brands right now?

Emily: Agree – authenticity. I’m noticing more and more bloggers and social creators who aren’t stating when something is gifted or paid. In the same vein, I’m seeing huge amounts of content, both written and visual, that are clearly AI-generated… It’s VERY obvious!

The best collaborations are those where bloggers or creators are true to themselves, are genuine and honest, and let their own personalities shine through.

At Get Blogged, we know the best blogs are born out of real life. Messy, joyful, and always evolving. Jayne Armishaw-Bagnall, the creator behind Sticky Mud & Belly Laughs, has built a family lifestyle blog that feels as welcoming as a cuppa in a friend’s kitchen. Her content is a celebration of the everyday, covering everything from home inspiration and parenting wins (and the inevitable fails), to crafts, wellbeing, and family adventures.

Jayne’s story is a reminder that blogging is most powerful when it’s rooted in authenticity and a genuine desire to help others feel seen. What started as a creative outlet during the chaos of raising two young boys has grown into a thriving, full-time business. Proof that sharing your real life can open unexpected doors.

A Chat with Jayne of Sticky Mud & Belly Laughs Blog

Get Blogged: Jayne, your blog is a wonderful mix of family life, creativity and honest storytelling. How did you get started, and what keeps you inspired?

Jayne: Sticky Mud & Belly Laughs is very much a family lifestyle blog at heart, but I love chatting about all sorts from home inspiration, parenting wins (and fails!), crafts, days out, wellbeing, you name it. Life isn’t one-dimensional, and neither is my blog, so it’s become a lovely little mix of everything that makes family life… well, family life!

I first got into blogging when my two boys were little. I loved reading about other parents’ lives (the real stuff), and I wanted to create that same cosy, helpful space for others. What started as a creative outlet during the chaos of raising boys has grown into one of my full-time businesses.

Get Blogged: That sense of warmth and relatability really shines through in your content. Are there any collaborations that have stood out as highlights for you?

Jayne: My Simba collaboration was definitely a highlight. I reviewed their Ludlow Ottoman Bed, and it honestly transformed our bedroom. It has loads of storage and a gorgeous design. Simba Ludlow Ottoman Bed Review

Working with Very is always a pleasure. Their products fit so naturally into our everyday routine, whether it’s home bits, fashion or tech gift ideas. It’s one of those partnerships where sharing the content feels completely effortless and genuine, and they always get the best traffic! Christmas Gifts for Every Personality

I also loved putting together a unique post about commissioned jewellery with Sue Lane. It was something a bit different. My readers enjoyed seeing a handcrafted option for special keepsakes, and it was lovely to promote a small business. Commissioned Jewellery Feature

Get Blogged: Those sound like fantastic partnerships. Sometimes, the most valuable collaborations aren’t just about the content; they’re about building something lasting. Have you had a campaign that turned into something more?

Jayne: A brand approached me for what was meant to be a simple one-off campaign. I did the post as usual, hit publish… and it turned into an ongoing partnership because the brand loved the results so much. That experience really highlighted how valuable good communication and authenticity are. When a collab is a natural fit, it can be the start of something much bigger.

Get Blogged: That’s such a great point. Real relationships often start with honest, creative work. Has there been a moment when you felt especially valued by a brand or PR?

Jayne: One small thing that really made me feel valued was when a PR agency I’d worked with for years wrote an amazing reference on my work for my Creative Writing Master’s Degree Uni application. It honestly meant the world. I’ve always loved building genuine friendships with the brands and PRs I collaborate with. The kind where you’re not just sending emails back and forth, but you’re cheering each other on. Having someone take the time to support me personally, not just professionally, was just really nice… and I’m happy to say I passed the course! It’s those thoughtful gestures that remind you how lovely this industry can be.

Get Blogged: That’s such a powerful reminder. The industry is at its best when it’s built on kindness and mutual support. When you’re considering a new partnership, what’s most important to you?

Jayne: I always ask myself a few things. Would I genuinely use, wear, or recommend this? Does it solve a real problem? Can I talk about it naturally, without it feeling like an AD? If it ticks those boxes, I know that it will be a great fit for my audience.

Get Blogged: That’s brilliant advice. For bloggers who want to work with more brands, what would you suggest?

Jayne: Don’t be afraid to pitch! The worst they can say is “not right now, thank you”, and that’s absolutely fine. More often than not, brands really appreciate a new face popping into their inbox with a friendly idea. You never know, your email could land right as they’re planning a new campaign.

Get Blogged: We couldn’t agree more. The blogging world changes quickly, but some things remain constant. What do you see as the future for creators and brands?

Jayne: Trends come and go, but creativity lasts. Brands will gravitate towards creators who think outside the box and bring something fresh. Viral trends get attention, but they are short-lived. Blogging is here to stay, and I would love to see more of a community next year.

A Chat with Emma of Style Splash

Get Blogged: Emma, your blog covers fashion, beauty, travel, interiors, and lifestyle. How did you get started, and how has your style evolved?

Emma: My main blog niche is fashion, although I also write about beauty, travel, interiors and general lifestyle topics. I’ve always loved clothes and shoes, and after I had my daughter 16 years ago, I decided I needed a style reset. Blogging was still quite new then, so I thought I’d give it a go. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, but I had fun learning! It’s been great for looking back on how my style has evolved from more classic to maximalist. I’ve also made some wonderful friendships through blogging and Instagram.

Get Blogged: Many creators can relate to that journey; sometimes the best blogs start with curiosity and a willingness to learn. When it comes to collaborations, are there any that stand out for you?

Emma:
I’ve collaborated with Very.co.uk several times (via the Get Blogged platform), and it’s always a joy to work with the team. The briefs are clear, and the range of products to select for review is extensive, so I know there’ll be items that I truly love and can honestly recommend to my readers.

Everyday Fashion for Spring from Very
Style Tips for Navigating Between Seasons
Dress Yourself Happy
Shark FacialPro Glow Review

Away from Get Blogged, I recently worked with Sumissura on a made-to-measure suit review – what a treat that was! I love trouser suits for work, so getting to design one, down to the smallest detail, was a dream!

Get Blogged: It’s fantastic to see collaborations that are both enjoyable and genuinely relevant to your audience. Was there a partnership that felt especially meaningful?

Emma: I was surprised and delighted when IDENTITY LINGERIE invited me to collaborate with them not once, but twice. The company was founded by a couple from Ukraine with operations both in the UK and Ukraine. The team donate old stock fabric and leftovers to Ukrainian charities which produce linens and undergarments to be used in hospitals for the wounded, as well as military camouflage nets. I was so happy to be able to share the company’s values and ethics while supporting the people of Ukraine during an extremely difficult time. This collaboration wasn’t just about the products (which are amazing), but about using my blog to help raise awareness and show solidarity with Ukraine.

Get Blogged: That’s a wonderful example of how blogging can go beyond products and really make a difference. Sometimes, the human side of partnerships matters most. Have you had any experiences where brand support really stood out?

Emma: Back in the summer, I had a few collaborations in the pipeline when my mum died unexpectedly. Naturally, I didn’t feel like blogging and responding to emails, but a couple of brands really stood out for me in the way they responded to my request to postpone publishing reviews. The team at Pretty You London and Glowcept were amazing, checking in to see how I was and being incredibly patient and kind.

Get Blogged: That empathy and flexibility are so important in partnerships. For you, what makes a brand or product the right fit for your readers?

Emma: The product or service has to be something that my audience would genuinely love. I want to be able to recommend something wholeheartedly, so I choose brands very carefully. At the very least, I need to give an honest and thorough review, even if that means pointing out things that could be better.

Get Blogged: Authenticity and honesty are key. Audiences can always tell when a recommendation is sincere. What advice would you give to bloggers who want to work with brands but might feel hesitant to pitch themselves?

Emma: I would say keep pitching! For years, I was too scared to approach brands due to imposter syndrome, but once you get started, it becomes much easier. Having a consistent profile across social media platforms helps to be visible and recognisable. I like to have a good balance of organic content, where it’s just outfits that I’ve worn to work or group challenges that I take part in monthly, with a fun theme. Audiences don’t want to see only content that promotes brands; they want to get to know the blogger and form a connection. That’s how you build trust.

Get Blogged: That’s excellent advice. It’s so true that audiences want to connect with the person behind the content, not just see a stream of ads. Looking ahead, how do you see brand and creator partnerships evolving?

Emma: I think developing ongoing relationships between brands and creators will be an important factor in the future. In the past, some brands have chosen to work with lots of bloggers on a one-off basis, which may boost visibility but doesn’t necessarily lead to confidence in the product and brand loyalty. Building longstanding relationships means that bloggers and creators can really align with brands and share in-depth knowledge.

At Get Blogged, we’re always inspired by creators who put heart and purpose at the centre of everything they do. Helen, the founder of KiddyCharts and Neurodivergent Nook, is one of those rare voices in the blogging world who is driven by a genuine desire to help others, especially children and families navigating today’s challenges.

Helen’s background as a qualified therapist shines through in every resource she shares, whether it’s a printable for parents, a toolkit for teachers, or a free support guide for neurodivergent families. Her mission? To make as much as possible available for free, so every child has the chance to thrive, and every parent, carer, or educator feels supported.

A Conversation with Helen of KiddyCharts

Get Blogged: Helen, your platform is such a valuable resource for families, schools, and homeschoolers. What inspired you to start KiddyCharts, and what is your focus today?

Helen: I want to give as many resources for children, parents, schools, and homeschoolers away for free to help and support kids to be the best they can be. We all need support, acceptance and understanding so we can find out who we are… not who our parents or schools want us to be!

Get Blogged: That’s such an important message. Can you tell us about a brand collaboration that stands out to you?

Helen: I haven’t done THAT many brand collabs in 2025, previous year though, which is still there, is the collab I did with Quarto Kids, a book club that people can still sign up for, where we recommend a book for kids every week for 18 weeks that supports and helps with wellbeing. There are free activity sheets, and a link to get the book as well. It is awesome, with info on grief, empathy, understanding perfectionism for kids, friendship, and beyond. Do check it out, it was genuinely amazing, and the book club is free. You can find books in libraries too, so you don’t need to buy them! Check out the KiddyCharts Free Kids Book Club

Get Blogged: That sounds fantastic, and so accessible for families. What do you appreciate most when working with brands?

Helen: Listening to my understanding of what will work with my audience for their brand. So, being flexible about deliverables and goals.

Get Blogged: Flexibility and trust are so key, especially when you know your audience so well. How do you decide if a partnership is right for your readers?

Helen: It has to be relevant for them, and to solve a problem as well. If I can give my audience a tip or a takeaway from the content, or even better, a resource, they are much more likely to engage and come back to me or the brand.

Get Blogged: That’s a brilliant approach. With so much content online and AI making information more accessible than ever, what do you think creators need to do to stand out?

Helen: Content isn’t king as it used to be because of the problems with AI. We MUST give something above and beyond. It isn’t about writing a great set of tips now or sharing something about the product. It is about incorporating that product into something that the customers will find useful. For example, if it’s a mobile phone company, create some tips, and also a mobile phone contract for families! Think outside the box to create a lasting impression on the customer, so they feel they have that little bit extra.

Get Blogged: That’s such a valuable insight. With AI able to answer so many questions, how can creators and brands offer something unique?

Helen: We HAVE to give more. AI answers so much, we have to go beyond that, and add that extra special human level experience to our campaigns, so that we are offering unique ideas.

Get Blogged: Thank you for sharing so much wisdom, Helen. Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know?

Helen: Other than thanks so much for including me, it is wonderful to be featured! And check out all the free resources that brands, bloggers, and anyone at all can access: https://www.kiddycharts.com/printables. 100% of our shop is free too: https://www.kiddycharts.com/printables/kids-free-printables-forever/

The post A Quick Chat With Pia Orr of The Finnterior Designer Blog appeared first on Get Blogged .

At Get Blogged, we are always fascinated by how the best blogs often start with a simple spark – a passion that weaves its way into everyday life. For Pia Orr, the creative mind behind Finnterior Designer, that spark was ignited the moment she bought her first home. Like many successful creators, Pia followed her curiosity about interiors and lifestyle, letting her personal style guide her content and collaborations.

It is a point that comes up time and again in the blogging world. In fact, a recent episode of the Boss Lady Bloggers podcast (a favourite among our team) highlighted that consistency – showing up every day with content that feels true to you – is only sustainable if you are genuinely passionate about your subject. When your content touches your daily life, it is not a chore; it is a joy.

Why Authenticity Wins Every Time

Pia’s journey is proof of this. The Finnterior Designer blog and social channels are filled with interior inspiration, practical tips, and a genuine enthusiasm for creating beautiful, liveable spaces. That authenticity has led to some fantastic collaborations, including a cosy autumn home styling feature with Very, a showcase of Domkapa’s Heritage Collection (learn more about the collab here), and a look at how Poppy Furniture is making sustainable furniture rental stylish.

What really makes Pia’s day?

“Any time a brand shares my work on their socials, it truly makes my day!”

It is a reminder to brands: public recognition is a powerful motivator, and sharing creators’ content is a simple but meaningful way to show appreciation.

The Art of the Perfect Match

For Pia, the best collaborations are those where the brand’s products and style feel like a natural extension of her own aesthetic.

“If their products and style align with my blog’s aesthetic, I know it is a good match.”

This is a key lesson for both bloggers and brands. Authentic partnerships drive the best results. When the fit is right, the content feels effortless, and audiences respond with real engagement.

Reaching Out and Building Relationships

Pia’s top tip for fellow creators is refreshingly direct:

“Don’t be afraid to message brands directly – you never know what could come out of it!”

With the influencer marketing space booming (the UK market reached £1.85 billion in 2024 and is growing fast), standing out often means taking the initiative. A well-crafted message, genuine enthusiasm, and a clear vision can help you cut through the noise and start building those valuable relationships.

The Future is Long Term

Industry data shows that 47% of marketers in the UK now prioritise long-term partnerships with creators. Pia agrees, saying:

“Long term collaborations will be far more valuable, as developing ongoing relationships with bloggers creates more authentic results.”

We could not agree more. One-off posts might create a splash, but it is the ongoing, trust-filled partnerships that drive lasting results for both brands and creators.

A Conversation with Kirsty of Fashion For Lunch

Get Blogged: Your blog is so full of colour and personality! What inspired you to start, and how has your focus evolved over the years?

Kirsty: Colourful luxury lifestyle. I started blogging such a long time ago that having a ‘niche’ wasn’t a thing! In fact, it was almost seen as limiting to have a niche! However, over the years, I’ve realised most of what I do is focused on colour and joy, as well as luxury. Partly because I like well-made things, but also because I believe in buying less and buying better.

Get Blogged: That’s such a positive approach! Thinking about recent collaborations, is there one that stands out as a favourite?

Kirsty: It would have to be Very.co.uk via Get Blogged! It was a dream to work with them. Sometimes I find collaborations quite stressful, but Very is a brilliant team to work with, and I loved the project, loved the content, and there wasn’t a single thing I would change about working with them.

Get Blogged: What a fantastic experience, we’re so glad to have seen it all happen with Very.co.uk! Have you ever had a brand partnership develop in an unexpected way?

Kirsty: I was a loyal customer to a brand and saw they had a refer-a-friend scheme where you could get a discount off your next order. Since I order from them regularly, I figured I could do some nice content, share the brand and save myself some money on my next order. I referred so many people that they had me flagged as suspicious, and I had to explain that I was an influencer and I had done some content about them! Now we are talking about doing a project together.

Get Blogged: That’s brilliant! We love hearing about partnerships that grow from genuine enthusiasm. What makes you feel valued as a creator when working with brands?

Kirsty: Thanking me at the end of the project!

Get Blogged: Simple but so important. When you’re considering a new collaboration, how do you decide if it’s the right fit?

Kirsty: Generally, if it makes me feel excited and if it adds value to my life, I know it will to my audience.

Get Blogged: That’s great advice. What tips would you give to other creators who want to build their own success and stay motivated?

Kirsty:

Be friendly

Don’t compare yourself to others

Love what you do. If you are just here for the collaborations, you will be disappointed.

Make the content you enjoy creating on platforms you like spending time on. If you have to force yourself, it’s not fun, and it will be hard to be consistent.

Don’t feel like you have to be a full-time influencer. Being a part-time influencer is often where the sweet spot is!

Get Blogged: There’s a lot of pressure in the industry to focus on collaborations, but your approach is refreshingly content-driven. Can you share your philosophy on this?

Kirsty: Content first, collaborations second! The brands will find you if your content is great.

Get Blogged: Such a good reminder. Finally, what would you say to anyone feeling discouraged by slow growth or the pressure to succeed overnight?

Kirsty: Love it! Enjoy it! Don’t feel like you are not an overnight success; you have failed.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://getblogged.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Content-first-collaborations-second-The-brands-will-find-you-if-your-content-is-great-819x1024.jpg" alt=""Content first, collaborations second!
